Which cities do you cover for inter-city rentals?

Roamveldt handles inter-city arrangements across Malaysia, including routes in Sarawak (Miri, Kuching, Sibu), the Peninsula (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Ipoh), and selected routes into Sabah. When enquiring, let us know your departure and arrival cities and we will advise on vehicle options and any logistical considerations for that corridor.

How does the handover process work?

After confirming your booking, you will receive details on the pickup location — typically a central or accessible point in your departure city. At pickup, we conduct a brief vehicle walkthrough and route review. For one-way arrangements, drop-off is at a pre-agreed handover point in the destination city. For multi-day rentals, return is at the agreed location on the final day.

What is included in the mileage allowance?

Each arrangement includes a mileage allowance calibrated for the typical distance of the stated route. For the three-day sedan, this covers the KL–Penang corridor and return. For the weeklong touring arrangement, the allowance accounts for three to four city legs. We will confirm the exact allowance figures when you enquire, based on your specific itinerary.

Can I adjust my travel dates after confirming?

Date adjustments are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on vehicle availability and how close the change falls to your scheduled pickup. We ask that any changes be communicated at least 48 hours in advance where possible. Contact us directly by phone or email and we will advise on available options.

What documents do I need to bring?

A valid Malaysian driving licence (or international driving permit for non-Malaysian residents) is required at the time of vehicle handover, along with a form of identification such as your MyKad or passport. We may request a deposit at handover, the amount of which will be communicated during booking confirmation.

Are toll charges included in the rental price?

Toll charges are not bundled into the stated rental price. Malaysian highway tolls are paid separately by the renter — either via Touch 'n Go or cash at toll plazas. We provide a general toll estimate as part of the pre-trip route review so you can plan accordingly.
